Global Crisis is a Call for Spiritual Preparation
A National Sin! A National Judgment!
"I am alert and active, watching over My Word to perform it!” (Jerm.1:12)
“Out of the North the evil (which the prophets have foretold that is a result of national sin) Shall disclose itself and break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. For behold, I will Call all the tribes of the kingdoms of the north and they will come….” (Jerm.1:14-15)
In the book of Jeremiah, God sent Jeremiah to Israel, God’s chosen people at that time, to oversee their captivity by a pagan and evil people from the north, a people who sacrificed their babies to idols and demons, a people with sexual perverseness, gross immorality, and human debauchery without conscious or humanity.
Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, was an arrogant and evil king. His glory rested in the things he achieved and built. His kingdom would come against God’s people, destroy much of their nation, and remove the rest into captivity. Daniel would be part of that kingdom’s captivity.
Why would a loving God allow heathen nations to attack and destroy God’s people? Why not allow God to answer this question?
“Because of the wickedness of those who have forsaken me, burned incense to idols, and worshipped the works of their hands”. (Jeremiah. 1:16)
God has always insisted that His people remain pure and undefiled, not adapting into the culture in which they lived. He is a jealous God and whenever Israel entered into a pagan culture, it was not long before they settled and began to enjoy the fruits of that culture. Egypt is one very good example, is it not, of how Christians can slowly be absorbed into a pagan society and then will no longer maintain its unique identity as God’s people living by only God’s standards?
A National Crisis for America!
Today, October 1, 2008, the world looks on as The United States of America faces a national unprecedented economic, spiritual, and political crisis. Many have called our nation a Christian nation; others have called it the land of liberty.
Early settlers from other countries came to America for religious freedom and indeed religious freedom is what it has produced. Muslim, Buddhism, Atheism, Satanism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Seventh Day Adventist, Scientology, Mormonism, Jewish, New Age, Freemasonry, etc. have joined the melting pot called America
An aerial view of our government offices and buildings in Washington DC will reveal its layout to be in the distinct form of a cult pentagram.
A casual look at the American one-dollar bill will reflect on the currency itself an Egyptian Pyramid with the all seeing eye of Horace over it, still another pagan and cult sign of our so-called religious heritage. According to the original Treasury Department press release of August 15, 1935, which gave details of the symbol being put on the back of the one-dollar bill, 'The eye and triangular glory symbolize an all-seeing Deity. The pyramid is the symbol of strength and its unfinished condition denoted the belief of the designers of the Great Seal that there was still work to be done." The deity mentioned is the Egyptian god Horus, "whose eye never slumbers nor sleeps." This represents a Big Brother sort of surveillance that is over the United States
What is my point? Contrary to popular belief, America did not begin as a Christian nation. It did provide a great deal of liberty for all of its citizens to practice their individual beliefs. However, like in Egypt, Rome, and in all situations in which Israel found themselves captives or citizens, God’s people eventually lose their distinctiveness as believers in the one true God. They began to embrace the cultural practices and beliefs of the culture in which they lived, thus welcome to America.
That brings us to where we are today in a national crisis. Christians are crying out to God to save our nation, to spare the people. He has shown great mercy to America, in my opinion, over the centuries because of His people. However, it has become a country immersed with evil, blatant sin, violence, political corruptness, immorality, and most of the sinful practices for which God dealt with Israel in the books of Jeremiah and Daniel by bringing judgment.
God’s people for the most part are asleep, complacent, or apathetic to the immoral climate of our country. We have ignored the call of those churches that cry out for repentance and many of God’s people have become like those in Egypt who were acclimated to the lifestyle, practices, and culture of a pagan nation.
The God of our nation, that most professing Christians claim to worship, is not the historical God that demanded a holy people, fully separated from the sins of the culture around them. He is the God who told His people to choose whom they will serve; the God of the heavens or the god of their own imaginations.
Yes, a national crisis is upon us as a nation and as a people! Will it just pass over and life returns to our greedy and self-centered lifestyles. I believe not! The end-times are here and the armies of the enemy are already taking their places to assault the land and enslave the people of God. I trust you are ready to listen for the prophets and take advantage of this small window of opportunity to prepare yourselves now to “walk in the spirit”. It is the only way that America’s families will be able to stand against the tidal wave of evil that is about to sweep the earth.
