Ministry Division of Adult Children of Alcoholic Families
Welcome!
Children of alcoholics often reach adulthood experiencing a variety of psycho-spiritual problems. Such adults usually do not possess adequate memories to explain the endless cycles of anger, self-hate, relationship dysfunctions, and self-sabotaging lifestyles. In fact, these struggling survivors who grew-up within home environments with alcoholic parents seldom realize that their unhappy lives are the indirect result of deep subconscious and interactive self-destructive programming.
National statistics scream out some alarming facts regarding this mushrooming epidemic. An estimated 28 million Americans have at least one alcoholic parent. More than half of all alcoholics have at least one alcoholic parent. One in three families report alcohol abuse by a family member and amazingly, more than 90% of all child abuse cases reveal that alcohol is a significant factor.
