Ministry Division of Child Psycho-spiritual Trauma

 Do Children Experience Trauma?

Absolutely! Children experience trauma all over the world everyday. There are the natural traumas brought on by floods, famines, fires, disease, the death of a parent, or a sibling. Children encounter social upheaval, violence brought on by war, and divorce everyday. Children are traumatized by verbal, physical, and sexual abuse, neglect and abadonment daily. These are but a few of the assaults that children may encounter during the first 10 years of thier lives that impact their adult lives for years.

What Is Trauma?

We define trauma from a Christian psycho-spiritual perspective because it impacts the body, soul, and spirit of the triune human being. God created all of us as triunue beings with a soul (intellect, will, and emotions), physical body like a house or shell to dwell in, and a spirit that is immortal. Trauma is a continual, sudden evasive and invasive intrusion into the security of their life; thereby, interrupting the wholeness and stability of their entire triune being. The Bible clearly states that when God created Adam in book of Genesis, He created him body, soul, and spirit. Adam was a spirit being clothed in flesh and equipped with a highly sophisticated communication system that enables him to relate to both the physical and spiritual domains.

Ministry Services We Provide

We provide family oriented ministry, not counseling. We specialized as a research organization and our specialty is in the domain of the soul-spirit interrelationship of the child, not just the behavior of the child. Unlike traditional approaches, we understand that the human soul interacts through the body and is energized by the 'spirit' person in accordance with Bible's principles. We do not merely teach biblical principles; rather, we apply foundational truths to the entire child's body, soul, and spirit.

Here are some of the specialized services that we offer for children who have experienced significant trauma:

1.    A Discovery Profile evaluation that evaluates the family dynamics of the child within the family unit.

2.    A holistic ministry approach under the guidance of Lawrence Stanfield, Ph.D., M.S., B.Th. He offers years of specialized training and experience as a learning disabilities teacher and specialist, was the founder of a reading foundation for highly dysfunctional readers, he created one of Florida's first pediatric re-entry head trauma educational models, and he held state of Florida certification in case management for the family services division for crisis intervention for Health and Rehabilitative Services.

3.   A comprehensive ministry approach to locating and healing self-destructive programming (belief systems) that operate dysfunctional behaviors and emotions.

4.   A ministry healing plan to assist the entire family with healing from early childhood trauma that is causing family disunity and daily crisis.

5.   A unique and highly effective program that disengages self-destructive behaviors and attitudes that so often generates unacceptable behaviors and mindsets that sabotage our well-being.

(Plus much, much more!)

GSA Is A Support Ministry

Ministry services from Global Strategic Alliance International Trauma Center are not intended to replace the services of organizations like Alcohol Anonymous or other similar organizations. Rather, it provides still another support service for those adults of alcoholic families who still struggle with unacceptable self-destructive lifestyles.
